Those childhood days of mine hearing the house sparrows twittering gleefully are no more. I could even today recall  with fond memories that how hundreds of sparrows flood the terrace of our house and on the trees in our garden. Now due to changes in the rural and urban landscape with new buildings with glass windows and expanding  micro wave towers( effecting electromagnetic radiation) to catch phone signals literally driven away the very friendly house sparrows. It is of great concern in India that how common and very friendly house sparrow is  vanishing.( page poster – Citizen Sparrow)

Last week I visited  some coffee plantation estates located in the Coorg district in Karnataka state of India and also to a place called Talakaveri –  a spot from where the river Kaveri originates. Fortunately I could click a nice picture of house sparrows which I would like to share with my blog readers.
